It was a good run, but James Monroe unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to the Courtland Cougars. The Yellow Jackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 66-58.

James Monroe now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Courtland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Monroe will head out to challenge Spotsylvania at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. James Monroe is facing Spotsylvania at the right time seeing as Spotsylvania is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Courtland, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastern View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastern View will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Courtland surely won't give up without a fight.
