Soccer Game Preview: Kennedy vs. DSST: College View

For the first time this season, Kennedy will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to take on the DSST: College View Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Kennedy and Denver West, and Denver West kept the tradition alive. The Commanders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that Kennedy have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten goals the game before, DSST: College View was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They fell just short of Lincoln by a score of 1-0. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but DSST: College View couldn't quite close it out.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for DSST: College View, they dropped their record down to 1-5-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Kennedy came up short against DSST: College View when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Commanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
