Volleyball Recap: Lawrence County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lawrence County came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the West Point Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Devils have suffered since October 24, 2024.

While Lawrence County was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into West Point's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 26-24.

Lara Anne Norwood paced Lawrence County's offense, picking up nine kills. Norwood got some help from Ava Templeton and her 11 assists. Templeton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lawrence County's loss dropped their record down to 18-14. As for West Point, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Lawrence County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Russellville on the 23rd. West Point has also already played their next match (against Fairview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
