Recap: Rain Red Raiders vs. Escambia County Blue Devils

The Rain Red Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Escambia County by a score of 60-57. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rain in their matchups with Escambia County: they've now lost five in a row.

Escambia County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Stephen Williams, who dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 22 rebounds, and 10 blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least 25% of Escambia County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorenzo Arnold jr., who scored 16 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds.

Rain has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Escambia County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Rain won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against LeFlore at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. LeFlore has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Escambia County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Hillcrest's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
