Huntington hadn't done well against North Babylon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. The Blue Devils had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs  4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  10-8  last Tuesday.
Huntington has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for North Babylon,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-2.
 Coincidentally, Huntington and North Babylon will both be playing Northport the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will  host the Tigers at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday, while the Blue Devils will  host them  at 5:00  p.m.  on  the 29th.
