Softball Recap: Chiefland Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Chiefland's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Branford Buccaneers on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Buccaneers: they've now lost four in a row.

Chiefland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Branford, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chiefland will face off against Fort White at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort White will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Chiefland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Branford, they will head out to take on Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
