Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Avon). Everything went their way against the Farmington River Hawks on Friday as they made off with a 23-9 win. Considering the Falcons have won 12 matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Avon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Farmington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Coming up, Avon will head out to take on Canton at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Farmington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bristol Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
