Volleyball Game Preview: Armuchee Indians vs. Dalton Catamounts

The Armuchee Indians will face off against the Dalton Catamounts at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Tuesday, Armuchee didn't have quite enough to beat Model and fell 2-1. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blue Devils 25-12 in the first set.

Armuchee started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Despite the loss, Armuchee saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ava Grace Crump had eight digs and two aces. Crump has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 26 times she's played.

Meanwhile, Dalton came up short against Calhoun on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Catamounts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-19, 25-15.

Armuchee's defeat dropped their record down to 21-13. As for Dalton, their loss dropped their record down to 20-9.
