Baseball Game Preview: Foothill Tech Dragons vs. Grace Lancers

The Foothill Tech Dragons will challenge the Grace Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Foothill Tech is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Foothill Tech's offense. They lost 9-0 to Oaks Christian on Saturday.

Grace couldn't beat Hueneme on Monday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the fifth inning. The Lancers fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 12-11. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chase Borgstrom and Jack Mazza did some serious damage despite the final result: Borgstrom went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI, while Mazza went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.

Foothill Tech's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Grace, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Foothill Tech has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Grace struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Foothill Tech came out on top in a nail-biter against Grace in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 8-7. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
