Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jamell Willey and Jerome Radcliff Lead Mount Miguel to Victory

Mount Miguel waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Morse Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 66-48. That's more bragging rights for the Matadors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Mount Miguel to victory were Jerome Radcliff and Jamell Willey. Radcliff went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points, while Willey went 6 of 15 on his way to 14 points and seven assists. That's the most points Radcliff has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hamad Elhamad, who went 5 for 7 en route to 10 points.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayren Sunico, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eldren Vergara, who had eight points.

Mount Miguel pushed their record up to 9-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Morse, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Mount Miguel will challenge El Capitan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Miguel is facing El Capitan at the right time seeing as El Capitan is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Morse, they will take on Kearny at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Morse is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season.
