Preview: Central Bulldogs vs. Lebanon Yellowjackets

Central is on a 15-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Lebanon a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Central Bulldogs will take on the Lebanon Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central will be strutting in after a win while Lebanon will be coming in after a defeat.

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They managed a 44-40 win over Parkview. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Central has managed all season.

Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Lebanon, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-50 loss to Glendale on Monday. While losing is never fun, Lebanon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Glendale is ranked 55th).

Despite their loss, Lebanon saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Madison Myers, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Bodie Cox, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Central's win ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-15. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Central was taken down by Lebanon 73-38 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Central have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
