Baseball Recap: Canyon Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Canyon's offense. They came up short against the Banning Pilots on Friday, falling 7-0.

Canyon got a good showing from Cooper Stevenson, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. What's more, Stevenson posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Banning, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Canyon has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Palm Desert on the 22nd. As for Banning, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-3 defeat against Vista Murrieta on the 22nd.
