Fairmont Prep is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since December 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Carlsbad by a score of 58-55. The loss was the Huskies' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Los Alamitos was able to grind out a solid victory over San Clemente on Tuesday, taking the game 67-60. The win continues a trend for the Griffins in their matchups with the Tritons: they've now won three in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fairmont Prep fell to 4-1. As for Los Alamitos, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
