Sandburg had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings by a score of 62-50 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Vikings back in January, they had to take a 77-28 loss.

Sandburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points over those games. Homewood-Flossmoor's defeat dropped their record down to 23-10.

Looking ahead, Sandburg will square off against Marist at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marist will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Sandburg surely won't give up without a fight. Homewood-Flossmoor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
