Soccer Game Preview: Anacortes vs. Ferndale

The Anacortes Seahawks will square off against the Ferndale Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Anacortes came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to Sehome.

Meanwhile, Ferndale came up short against Mount Vernon on Thursday, falling 4-1. The loss continues a trend for Ferndale in their meetings with Mount Vernon: they've now lost six in a row.

Ferndale now has a losing record of 2-3-5. As for Anacortes, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2-2.

Everything went Anacortes' way against Ferndale when the teams last played back in March, as Anacortes made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Seahawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
