Volleyball Recap: Bradley-Bourbonnais Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Bradley-Bourbonnais came tearing into Thursday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Andrew Thunderbolts. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Boilermakers have posted since October 19, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Bradley-Bourbonnais got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25, 25-13.

Bradley-Bourbonnais can attribute much of their success to Lydia Hammond, who had 15 digs and six assists. Those six assists gave Hammond a new career-high. Ella Haas also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 17-7. As for Andrew, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bradley-Bourbonnais is set to face off against their familiar foe Homewood-Flossmoor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Andrew will square off against rival Stagg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
