Football Recap: Chestnut Ridge Comes Up Short

The Chestnut Ridge Lions ended up a good deal behind the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils on Friday and lost 46-28. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Chestnut Ridge still got an impressive performance from Cade Emerick, who picked up 126 receiving yards and one TD. Jayden Imler also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Bellwood-Antis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Shawley, who picked up 100 receiving yards and a pair of scores. That's the most receiving yards Shawley has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alex McCartney, who rushed for 101 yards and one TD.

Chestnut Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bellwood-Antis, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Meanwhile, Bellwood-Antis is set to take on their familiar foe Bellefonte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: McCartney and Kaven Smith-kirk.
