Basketball Recap: South Iredell Comes Up Short

South Iredell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by North Mecklenburg 71-22. South Iredell was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-12.

South Iredell's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Mecklenburg, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Iredell will host Bandys at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Mecklenburg, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hough at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Huskies' defense has only allowed 26 points per game this season, so the Vikings' offense will have their work cut out for them.
