Basketball Recap: Barron Comes Up Short

Barron won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Bloomer Blackhawks 68-34. The Golden Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blackhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Barron's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bloomer, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Barron will square off against Grantsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Barron is facing Grantsburg at the right time seeing as Grantsburg is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bloomer, they will be playing at home against McDonell Central at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Bloomer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
