Basketball Recap: Riverside Gets the Win

Riverside won the last time they faced Central Valley and things went their way on Saturday too. The Riverside Chargers came out on top against the Central Valley Cougars by a score of 62-50.

When it comes to explaining why Central Valley lost, don't look at Zaden Wolf. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 12 en route to 15 points in addition to six assists and five boards. Boston Wood was another key player, putting up nine points.

Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Central Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will head out to square off against Palmer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside is facing Palmer at the right time seeing as Palmer is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Central Valley, they will face off against Elgin/Pope John at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.4 points per game this season.
