Baseball Recap: Eagan Takes a Loss

Eagan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 7-4 to the Shakopee Sabers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 14-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Eagan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Lunneborg, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles.

Eagan now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Shakopee, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Eagan will challenge Eastview at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Shakopee, they will take on Lakeville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
