Morningside barely beat Centennial the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Monarchs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Apaches on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Monarchs in their matchups with the Apaches: they've now won five in a row.

Morningside never let Centennial on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-20, 25-22.

Morningside's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-2. As for Centennial, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Coincidentally, Morningside and Centennial will both be playing Inglewood the next time they take the court. The Monarchs will host the Sentinels at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Apaches will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
