Baseball Recap: Centreville Comes Up Short

Centreville and McLean squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Centreville had to settle for second. They fell 4-0 to the Highlanders. Considering the last time the Wildcats couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Centreville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Soules, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Centreville has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for McLean, their victory was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5.

As of now, neither Centreville nor the Highlanders have any future games scheduled.
