Football Recap: Taft Wildcats vs. Kennedy Thunderbirds
Taft had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-7 to make it seven. They were beaten by the Kennedy Thunderbirds 63-21. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-14.
Despite the loss, Taft still got an impressive performance from Joe Weber, who rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 49 receiving yards and one score. Weber showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 60 yards.
As for Kennedy, their record now sits at 6-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
