Basketball Game Recap: Reed Raiders vs. Carson Senators

If Carson wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Reed, they should've done a better job of containing Josh Peterson. The Reed Raiders narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Carson Senators 51-48 thanks in part to Peterson, who went 7 of 15 en route to 20 points along with three steals and three blocks. Those three blocks gave him a new career-high.

Reed's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-9. As for Carson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Reed will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Truckee at 7:00 p.m. As for Carson, they will head out to square off against Galena at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carson is facing Galena at the right time seeing as Galena is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
