East Ascension proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the St. Pius X Panthers 5-4. Ethan Blanchard looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
