Softball Game Preview: East Columbus Gators vs. Red Springs Red Devils

East Columbus is a perfect 10-0 against Red Springs since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The East Columbus Gators will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Red Springs Red Devils at 6:00 p.m.

East Columbus is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Red Springs. East Columbus blew past Red Springs 28-2 on Monday.

Gracie Coyle made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Kamora Bryant was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in home runs. Sara Coleman was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Everything went East Columbus' way against Red Springs in their previous meeting on Monday, as East Columbus made off with a 28-2 win. Will East Columbus repeat their success, or does Red Springs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
