There's no place like home for Jordan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Katy Tigers on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.
While Jordan might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Katy scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 28-26, 23-25, 25-22.
AVA Ribakovs paced Jordan's offense, picking up 19 kills. Ribakovs got some help from Cooper Rolens and her 26 assists. EMMY NICHOLAS controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Jordan is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-11 record this season. As for Katy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-19.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jordan is set to take on their familiar foe Katy Taylor at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Katy will face off against rival Paetow at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
