Godley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Liberty Patriots by a score of 2-0 on Friday. Godley's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last seven matchups.

Lexi Tyler and Stephanie Favela scored both of Godley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Godley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 45 goals over those 12 games. The defeat snapped Liberty's winning streak at 15 games and leaves them with a 18-2-3 record.
