Soccer Recap: Clarksburg Comes Up Short

Clarksburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Riverside Panthers, falling 10-2. While losing is never fun, Clarksburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Riverside are ranked 160th).

Clarksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Riverside, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Clarksburg has already played their next game, a 10-2 loss against Hardin County on the 29th. As for Riverside, they will challenge Middleton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverside will be up against Middleton's rather soft defense (which has allowed seven goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
