Wayland-Cohocton entered their tilt with Newark on Monday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Reds. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 back in April.

Wayland-Cohocton pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Newark, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayland-Cohocton will head out to challenge Pavilion at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newark, they will venture away from home to square off against Penn Yan Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Reds are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
