Football Recap: Lejeune Comes Up Short on the Road Against American Leadership Academy-Johnston

Lejeune kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the American Leadership Academy-Johnston Patriots and fell 42-0.

Anthony Jimenez was nothing short of spectacular for American Leadership Academy-Johnston: he rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Those 178 rushing yards gave Jimenez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ian Wands, who threw for 245 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt.

Looking ahead, Lejeune will face off against Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, they will challenge Bartlett Yancey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
