The Canyon Eagles will face off against the Wichita Falls Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Canyon's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matches.
Canyon can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Pampa, posting a 44-17 win at home. With Canyon ahead 37-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Wichita Falls' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Springtown, falling 64-21. Wichita Falls was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Eric Powell, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Zage Gravitt, who threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns.
Canyon has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 8-2 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19.73 points. As for Wichita Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
