Volleyball Recap: Delta Comes Up Short

If Delta was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Elite on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saints came up short against the Esparto Spartans on Wednesday, falling 3-0. Saints fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Spartans since Wednesday.

Delta took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 25-17.

Delta's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Esparto, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.

Coincidentally, Delta and Esparto will both be playing Creative Connections Arts Academy the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Saints will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
