Basketball Recap: St. Martin Picks Up 17th Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for St. Martin, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against the Moss Point Tigers by a score of 39-30 on Saturday. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Tigers are ranked 95th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Moss Point still got an impressive performance from Kaliyah Richardson, who posted three points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Richardson a new career-high in boards.

The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.4 points per game. As for Moss Point, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8.
