Volleyball Recap: Lily Russell and Avery Morrill Secure Win for Bourne

While Bourne's victory against Somerset Berkley Regional wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Canalmen had just enough and edged out the Raiders 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Canalmen.

Bourne was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (107-102), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 14-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Bourne was led to victory by Avery Morrill and Lily Russell. Morrill had 22 digs, while Russell had 34 digs, eight kills, four aces, and one block. Russell has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 15 times she's played.

Bourne's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Somerset Berkley Regional, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.

Bourne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Medfield on the 24th. Somerset Berkley Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
