Softball Recap: Heath Bulldogs vs. River Valley Vikings
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Heath can now relate to. They fell just short of the River Valley Vikings by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.
Heath saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shelby Moore, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run.
Heath's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for River Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
Heath does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for River Valley, they will take on Licking Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
