Volleyball Recap: Ripon Victorious

Ripon saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the New Lisbon Rockets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

While Ripon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22.

Emma Resop paced Ripon's offense, picking up 14 kills. Resop got some help from Adele Minor and her 19 assists. Resop also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kyah Peterson, racking up two apiece.

Ripon's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for New Lisbon, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Ripon has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Oshkosh North on the 29th. As for New Lisbon, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cashton at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
