Basketball Game Preview: Van Horn Eagles vs. Fort Hancock Mustangs

The Van Horn Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Fort Hancock Mustangs at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Van Horn and eight for Fort Hancock dating back to last season.

Van Horn came up short against Presidio on Tuesday, falling 39-16. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Fort Hancock came up short against Tornillo on Tuesday and fell 30-21.

Fort Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Van Horn, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Van Horn lost to Fort Hancock on the road by a decisive 38-20 margin in their previous matchup back in February. Thankfully for Van Horn, Alessandra Jimenez (who went 9 for 16 on her way to 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals) won't be suiting up this time.
