Volleyball Game Preview: St. Anthony Bulldogs vs. Teutopolis Wooden Shoes

The St. Anthony Bulldogs will face off against the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Anthony is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Tuesday, St. Anthony narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Altamont 2-1.

St. Anthony was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-10, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Teutopolis earned a 2-0 victory over Dieterich on Tuesday. The Wooden Shoes haven't had any issues with the Movin Maroons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Teutopolis was: they took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-15.

Teutopolis' victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for St. Anthony, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.

St. Anthony beat Teutopolis 2-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wooden Shoes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
