Basketball Recap: Carver College and Career Academy Takes a Loss

Carver College and Career Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mathews Blue Devils. If the Wolverines were looking for revenge after losing 33-28 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Carver College and Career Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Mathews, they moved to 5-11 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Carver College and Career Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mathews at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th. Mathews has already played their next contest, a 60-25 defeat against Gloucester on the 1st.
