Basketball Recap: Merino Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Merino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 58-47 to the Highland Huskies. The Rams lost against the Huskies in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 64-28 score last time.

Merino's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Highland, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Merino will take on Wiggins in a tournament on Thursday. As for Highland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-48 win against Haxtun on the 13th.
