Alisal's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Stevenson Pirates. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 13 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Nevaeh Lopez was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jasmine Estrada was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Micah Smith, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Alisal is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Stevenson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Alisal beat Stevenson by a score of 12-0 later that day.
