Basketball Recap: Elysian Fields Yellowjackets vs. Troup Tigers
The Elysian Fields Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 52-26 loss at the hands of Troup. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Elysian Fields in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.
Elysian Fields lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being McKenzie LeBlanc, who scored nine points. Kerrigan Love was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Elysian Fields has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 19 of their last 20 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-28 record this season. As for Troup, their victory bumped their record up to 15-12.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Waskom the next time they take the court. Troup will head out to face Waskom at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Elysian Fields will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
