Prospect Mountain waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Trinity Pioneers as they made off with a 14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Timberwolves, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Alexis Wilson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Tori Christie was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-6. Another player making a difference was Kylie Guptill, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Prospect Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive games.

Prospect Mountain pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Trinity, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Prospect Mountain beat the Pioneers by a score of 14-4 later that day.
