Recap: Parsons Vikings vs. Labette County Grizzlies
The Parsons Vikings were the 60-52 winner over the Labette County Grizzlies when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Parsons suffered a rough 62-42 loss at the hands of Labette County on Friday. Parsons has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Among those leading the charge was Nevaeh Jones, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Landry Obrien was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Parsons has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Labette County, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Parsons will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Field Kindley on January 5, 2024. Labette County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chanute at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Chanute is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
