Softball Recap: Satellite Comes Up Short

Satellite saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 14-10 to the Plant Panthers. The Scorpio have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sara Sousa led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Olson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Satellite's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Plant, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Satellite will take on Rockledge at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Plant, they will square off against Durant at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 4, the Cougars 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
