Clayton had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 89-48 win over the Pinecrest Patriots. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Jayden Gray had a dynamite game for Clayton, going 8-for-13 to rack up 24 points and four blocks. The dominant performance also gave Gray a new career-high in steals (two). Another player making a difference was Andrew Grimes, who shot 71% from the field en route to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Clayton is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Pinecrest and nudges their season record down to 15-10.

Clayton has already played their next game, a 51-47 victory against Jordan on the 28th. Pinecrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
