Tara is 0-8 against Family Christian since March of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Tara Trojans will face off against the Family Christian Flames at 3:35 p.m. Family Christian took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Tara, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, everything went Tara's way against False River as Tara made off with a 17-7 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Adrian Coleman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Steven Ruiz, who scored four runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lenmorrow Lawrence, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, while it was Family Christian who put the first points on the board on Monday, it was Plaquemine who put up more. Family Christian came up short against Plaquemine, falling 16-6. The Flames have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Devyn Baker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Family Christian: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise.
The win made it two in a row for Tara and bumps their season record up to 5-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.5 runs. As for Family Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Tara has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .551. However, it's not like Family Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .531. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tara might still be hurting after the 26-0 defeat they got from Family Christian in their previous matchup on Thursday. Can Tara avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
