Basketball Game Preview: South Sevier Rams vs. Enterprise Wolves

The South Sevier Rams are taking a road trip to face off against the Enterprise Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Sevier knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Enterprise likes a good challenge.

South Sevier is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They wrapped up 2024 with a 79-60 win over Providence Hall. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Patriots are ranked 124th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Sevier can attribute much of their success to Mackson Bastian, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards, and Stockton Roberts, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 21 points. That's the most points Roberts has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Ingram, who posted four points and nine rebounds.

South Sevier smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in eight consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, in Monday's Canine Competition, Enterprise had to take the L. They fell just short of Virgin Valley by a score of 57-54 on Monday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Sevier has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Enterprise, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

South Sevier lost to Enterprise on the road by a decisive 82-68 margin in their previous matchup back in January. Can South Sevier avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
